Hi! I’m Michelle, the owner of Dakota Annies, formally known as Hidden Timber Primitives. I offer handmade raggedy dolls and vintage decor. Each item I create is my own design and comes from my home in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The dolls are stitched and aged to look like it came straight from grandma’s attic, and are signed and dated.

My journey as a doll maker and artist, started after taking a quilting class. My two boys were in elementary school and I was working full time as a hairstylist. I found I loved creating dolls more than quilting, so I started making and selling my creations. Fast forward to today.  Both of my boys are married and I'm a grandma to two adorable, grandsons. I also, gave up doing hair and I'm able to create fulltime. 

I'm so blessed by all my customers, who make it possible for me to do what I love, and by my husband, who supports me in all my endeavors.
